Big day of racing around Japan on Tuesday, with Morioka, Funabashi, Kanazawa, Mombetsu and Sonoda all set to host. We've scoured the five cards and picked out our best bets across the day.

Funabashi Race 3 #9 Castle Shion

Quite keen on the lightly raced Castle Shion here who made good improvement from her debut run when fifth to win well last time out and post a solid rating in the process. The filly looks to have an edge on her rivals, many of whom are far more exposed and don't have the improvement Castle Shion looks to possess. She should only continue to progress and should be going very close to winning. #4 Oriental Lani was good winning at a big price last start- if she can repeat that she's a danger however her previous form was poor and she looks likely to regress.

Kanazawa Race 11 #8 At The Helm

Wanting to play this horse each-way because I expect he'll start close to double figures in this field having come off an average run last start when fourth. His form prior was rock solid, winning four back and running second at two runs since. His ratings before last start measure up well against a number of capable dangers in this field, but with his starting price profile and last start rating, I think we can back At The Helm each way to bounce back.

Sonoda Race 3 #9 Nishino Four Leaf

Another horse I think each-way will be the best way as I'm tipping #10 Magic Girl will start favourite first up. She has strong ratings and started a short priced favourite before a spell, whereas Nishino Four Leaf has been racing consistently but doesn't have quite the same hype. The three-year-old colt is up against the older horses and boasts ratings that compare strongly against his more seasoned rivals. We should get around even money for the place and that looks a solid bet.

Morioka Dirt Race 8 #3 Tosen The Game

Tipping Tosen The Game to bounce back strongly here after a below average effort last time out when running fifth when well in the market. He's not the most consistent entire but does have peak ratings that win this race most of the time, including his big win three starts ago where he posted a strong figure. He draws well in gate 3 and I think we should get a decent price about what is, at his best, the best horse in the race. #6 Kinzan brings the best last start rating into this and has been consistent all campaign but I'd rather be with Tosen The Game who can rate much higher.
