Winning Trainer: Tony & Calvin McEvoy (Calvin speaking)

On the filly: "She's a filly that's been very professional, she's a beautiful type, a muscle-bound filly, and she's always shown us that she's a cut above average.

"She put the writing on the wall in Adelaide, with a little bit more luck she probably wins there, and she's stamped herself a very nice filly today."

On why she has only had two starts: "To be honest, she was quite tough for us to syndicate. We held onto her for a little bit longer than what we always like to and that whole process put her back a touch, but she's matured all the way through and I think she's only going to get better like the Nicconis do."

"Dean (Holland) is under the impression that she'll love a little bit further, I think at the moment 1200 is perfect and she showed that today.

"It's very exciting for all the connections and on a big day like today to get a winner is fantastic for the staff."

Winning Jockey: Dean Holland

On how she felt today compared with on debut: "Obviously, it was a little bit further but she was so relaxed last time and she was the same today. Once I got on her she went to the gates like an eight-year-old. She's got a really good head on her shoulders.

On how the race panned out: "She jumped well today and I was able to just to cover her up and had the right bums to follow.

"The run presented probably 100 metres earlier than I would have liked but I had to take it at that point, if I didn't I probably would have been blocked in on the fence, so I just tried to take her through her gears.'

"But her turn of foot was explosive and down the track she's going to be a very nice (horse) definitely 1400, but she could even get to a mile, because she's very smart and does everything the way you need a horse to do it.

"She's got the Black Type today and she's going to have a very nice career."
