Nice double: "It's been a great day, Ange is on fire and the horses are running really well. We're in a purple patch of form, so we're enjoying the ride at the minute."
Dad was very confident: "We were pretty happy when they rolled along up front. He hasn't had much luck in his last couple of runs, he kept getting held up but today worked out perfectly. When Ange popped him out and he got clear running room, I was pretty confident he would get them especially with the big weight swing."

Association with the Sears stable: "It's great to ride a double for the team, they've been really great supporters of mine. They had this horse in tip top shape, he was gleaming in the mounting yard. He was pressing around like he owned the place, so I was pretty confident he would run well."
Pre-race instructions: "I got a beautiful cart into the race, which allowed him to cruise into it. I didn't have to ask him for too big an effort, he was on the bridle most of the way so I was pretty confident he'd have a big finish in him. I actually thought he might have peaked on his run, but he found more and he managed to pick off the leader."
