Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Flemington, Doomben, Ascot, Rosehill and Morphettville.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 5 @ 3:10 PM

Several of these look set to do better out to 2000m now. ATISHU (4) is one of them. She's had one try at the trip and it was a winning one back in New Zealand. Strong home last week in the Empire Rose as though it would suit her ideally. Has the ratings to win this and the top jock switching on is the cherry on top. DYNASTIES (8) backs up from Tuesday where she ran really well on what looked the inferior part of the track. She has a nice chance. POLLY GREY (2) would love the rain to come back. Ideal race for her and she would be the one to beat on genuine soft. SIRILEO MISS (3) and FOXY FRIDA (7) have been terrific in the key lead ups at Caulfield and the Valley and both are respected.
SELECTIONS: Lovely scenario for Atishu.

DOOMBEN: RACE 2 @ 12:43 PM

HATCHET (3) kicked off this campaign with back-to-back wins at this track and has been racing consistently since then. Comes back to a distance where he has recorded two wins and two placings from four attempts and looks well placed. ENABLER (8) closed to within 3L when resuming then raced on speed and stuck on to place last time at Eagle Farm. Could peak third up. CARRIBEAN KING (2) was down the track last time but the 1400m may have stretched him. He is capable of better. VAST KAMA (1) is drawn to get the favours.
SELECTIONS: Hatchet is well placed. Backing to win.

ROSEHILL: RACE 7 @ 4:10 PM

ELECTRIC GIRL (1) looks awfully hard to beat having run an unlucky second in The Invitation at Randwick last time out, flashing late to miss by a head. She won this race last year and looks pitched in at the weights. Should camp off the speed and looks the winner. SHEEZA BELTER (12) held her ground behind Electric Girl first up and will strip fitter. Stays at 1400m but looks a logical danger. LAVISH GIRL (4) ran well first up at Caulfield before an okay effort in the Silver Eagle. This looks a good race for her. JAMAEA (3) is ticking along okay and will be picking up the pieces late.
SELECTIONS: Electric Girl to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 7 @ 4:12 PM

HOPON HARRY (12) was super fresh when closing off strongly into the placings but failed to follow it up at the latest when well short of his preferred trip. Steps out to an ideal distance now and will take benefit from the low draw. Rates the one to beat. HANKSTAR (10) lengthened nicely to hit the line hard after being held up for much of the straight. Has a great record at this venue and is sure to be threatening with even luck. UNLACED (11) couldn't go on with it in the lane last start after leading for much of the journey. Drops back from Listed company and will find this a lot more suitable assignment. The one they'll need to catch. TERRITORY TITAN (5) was simply outclassed in the Bendigo Cup at Listed level last time out, but in saying that he wasn't beaten too far. Worth keeping safe.
SELECTIONS: Hopon Harry gets the nod.

ASCOT: RACE 5 @ 3:10 PM

BUSTLER (5) is unbeaten after three starts and faces his biggest test but last two wins have been against older horses and he's been dominant. No reason he can't make it four straight. SNOWDOME (1) was far from disgraced in a tight finish second-up behind a boom filly. Done little wrong and sure to be in the finish. ALL THE KING'S MEN (3) led all the way to his second-up win and is ready for a return to this company. More than capable. REJUVA KING (4) is worth another chance and UPPER LIMITS (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Bustler to win. Trifecta 5-1,3,4,6/1,3,4,6.
