The Adelaide carnival hits its climax on Saturday with the Group 1 Goodwood spearheading a thrilling day at Morphettville.

Another exciting weekend of racing is in store for South Australian racing fans this weekend with the running of the state's feature Group 1 sprint the Goodwood (1200m).

In the day's main event, Julius Sadhu's talented three-year-old colt Lofty Strike heads the market and deservedly so when taking a look at his form; beaten narrowly in the G1 Oakleigh Plate and Newmarket before a midfield finish in the T J Smith Stakes.

The Blue Army holds the next two spots in the market with Godolphin runners Zapateo and Kallos, while hometown hero Another Award sits equal fourth on the line of betting after her eye-catching finish in the Sangster.

As for our best bet, we head to the Group 3 R A Lee Stakes (race 5) where we are with the fiercely consistent Foxy Frida.

The five-year-old mare has returned in terrific order this preparation, going desperately close to making it two on the bounce last start when beaten half a length in the G2 Queen Of The South Stakes.

Shouldering a handy record over the track and trip, the daughter of Foxwedge gets in well at the weights from a favourable gate and should take plenty of beating.

We look earlier in the card for our next best play of the day where in race two the Clinton Mcdonald-trained Fasuto looks hard to beat.

A nice winner two back at Mornington, the scopey three-year-old ran into what looks a pretty promising type (Katsu) last start on Sandown-Hillside.

Striking an easier assignment, the Supido gelding is drawn to get the gun run over a distance he relishes and only has to hold his form to be very competitive.
