Best From The West: Belmont – 17th September 2022

Hopefully these Perth tracks are starting to dry out in a similar vein to what Sydney needs regarding luck with the weather.

The last couple of races do contain some nice horses in them including in the Nicopolis Stakes where Comes A Time just keeps running great races.

He has had 13 straight runs in the placings. While he flies first up, he tends to regress second up yet he just missed by a nose two weeks back.

You would say the 1200m is more to his liking and should get the perfect trail all the way.

Now that he is fitter he can be more forward this time and be so tough to get past in this good prizemoney race.

Over to the last where Ration Aly could end up some good value.

This mare resumed and was just a bit plain beaten five lengths over the 1300m right here.

But importantly while her first up record has always been just fair, she jumps up second up.

She was even asked to run in some black type last Summer Carnival and improved through the prep.

While another furlong would be of great benefit, a surface getting better and Paul Harvey back on only helps given their association to end the last campaign.
