The Australasian Oaks spearheads an action-packed Saturday at Morphettville as the South Australian Racing Carnival kicks off.

Saturday's meeting at Morphettville highlights the first day of the South Australian Racing Carnival and punters are in for a treat.

With four black type races on the exciting 10-race card, the G3 Breeders' Stakes (1200m), the Listed Port Adelaide Cup (2500m) and G3 Chairman's Stakes (2000m) serve as worthy undercards to the day's main event – the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m).

Once again racing fans are served with many lip-licking betting options and for this week's two best plays we head to two of the feature races.

Our first bet comes up in the Chairman's Stakes (Race 8) where I'm firmly in the corner of the Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young-trained Suizuro.

The son of Real Impact has rapidly progressed through the grades this campaign, most recently catching punter's attention in the G1 Australian Derby when flashing home for third. That run was off the back of an enormous effort at Moonee Valley in G2 company when caught on the line by Bank Maur. That form obviously reads very well and he is drawn to advantage on the inside.

I think the market may have gotten this a touch wrong and I expect him to jump favourite over Loco and prove hard to beat.

Our next bet comes in the proceeding race and it's the main event where I'm with Jennilala at an attractive each way quote.

The promising filly showed plenty of ticker here last start when overcoming a wide testing run to score a fortnight ago. The extra 200m doesn't pose any queries with the benefit of an inside draw, while most of her immediate threats are drawn wide.

Jennilala is ticking along superbly and is from the very smart Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable, who will have her firing for her GF run.
