Sandown Hillside Race 1 – Furious
Tough day to stamp one to follow but I liked the win of Furious in the opener. A gelding by Redoute's Choice, he debuted at Newcastle in a strong maiden and has gone on with it first up here, chasing stoutly and coming away a touch on the line. He looks like the further he goes the better he'll be at this stage, strongest late and giving the impression of a horse that can pick his way through the lower grades with a bit more distance this time in.
Warwick Farm Race 3 – Aditi
Very smart win by this G Waterhouse & A Bott filly who showed plenty of promise in her brief two-year-old season, starting $6.50 on debut to beat Charm Stone and then $3.75 in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies). The query this time in was kicking off at 1200m having looked a real speedy type early but the stable have worked their magic on her and she was dominant in good time. She was only a length slower overall than the smart Balkans over the same distance prior and came home a length faster. Plenty to like about it and if she can keep progressing, there could be a nice black type fillies race for her.
