Coolmore Stud's Group 1 2000 Guineas (1m) winner Magna Grecia (Invincible Spirit) sired his first winner when his first runner, Myconian (2 c ex Sirici by Choisir), won on Thursday in France.

Under Mickael Barzalona, the colt pulled three quarters of a length clear of The Fixer in the Prix du Debut (900m) at Saint-Cloud.

The Amy Murphy-trained Myconian was bought for €27,000 by LDS Bloodstock at last year's Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale from the draft of Whitehall Stud. He is out of the Listed winning and Group 3 placed Choisir (Danehill Dancer) mare Sirici.

A son of Invincible Spirit (Green Desert), Magna Grecia's fee at Coolmore Stud is advertised at €15,000 this year, down from €17,500 a year ago.
