The Singapore Turf Club has granted a one-day visiting jockey’s licence to Australian jockey Mark Zahra to ride at the Kranji Mile meeting next Saturday, 18 May.
Jockey Darren Danis will make his Singapore debut this Sunday, eight days later than expected, but he was still excited at the thought of riding at home after spending the last nine years in New Zealand.
The David Kok-trained Smart Star looked well placed to get back into the winner's circle in the $50,000 Class 4 race (1700m) on the Polytrack on Sunday.
