It is G1 over 1600m and three of Hong Kong's top horses.

Golden Sixty has been Hong Kong's #1 horse for quite a while and now has been challenged for that spot by California Spangles who finished first when they last me in the HK Mile!  However coming in over the top of them is Romantic Warrior, whom those of us who saw his win in the HK Cup in December have rated the best horse they have seen in Hong Kong for a long time.  Yes this is 1600m and the Cup was 2000 but he won that by a soft 4.5 lengths and he's won over the 1600 in the past.

He's odds-on with Golden Sixty on 3.0 and California Spangles 4.3 but this is not going to be a race for making your fortune so just sit back and enjoy those three magnificent horses.

The Cup is Race 7 and to warm us up for that Race 3 is a Class 2 over 1200m and here Jon Size has a strong hand  with current favourite Beauty Tycoon and one we rather like in Power Koepp, on 5.9.  Rock Ya Heart is on 3.9.

The HKJC is not content with stealing our top male. Jockeys with Hugh Bowman looking t extend his stay in HK but they have now grabbed Jamie Kah!  And J-Mac who is actually a Kiwi but we claim him in Aus as that is where he is mostly riding.  They will all be on show in Race 9, the Classic Mile for the 4yos.

This is a very open race:  Packing Treadmill is on 5.1 for Lui-Purton and we were on Keefy at his last outing and may put some of the hard-earned back on him however our main pick is John Size trained Tuchel with Luke Currie on board and cannot believe his current price of 18.0.  Also in double figures with a very good chance is Jamie Kah's mount Voyage Bubble on 15.0.  Those prices are sure to move closer to race time.
