In the end it came down to the grey Senor Toba with Hugh Bowman on board to finish first and earn a ticket to Doha for HH The Amir's Trophy on 18th February.  Trainer Caspar Fownes likes travelling his good horses so it could well be on to Dubai and the Sheema after that.  Running Glory actually started favourite but was held by the winner and Money Catcher has gone back to catching my money and not throwing any of it back!

The Centenary Sprint over 1200m had 8 starters and in the end it was the up-and-coming Lucky Sweynesse who got the victory over Wellington who just failed to get the winner.  Sight Success got the third money.

Douglas Whyte's Russian Emperor is expected to join Senor Toba on the trip to Doha.

It was good to see trainer Manfred Man get a double (including Lucky Sweynesse) with his licence now extended.  He must have been a very happy guy on Saturday night.
