Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Newcastle, Bendigo, Pakenham and Goulburn.

NEWCASTLE: RACE 3 @ 2:25 PM

CRAZY RUSSIAN (5) has been thereabouts in his first three starts but has just struggled to land the winning blow. The form from his first two starts has stuck up solidly with a handful of subsequent winners. Will appreciate the extra 100m and should be ready to peak. Hard to beat this time. ALLHALLOWTIDE (3) never looked likely on debut but managed to make solid in-roads to the line late to fall just shy of the placings. Drawn to settle much closer to the action this time and is sure to have taken improvement from the debut run. Can also make cases for the resuming AN CHARRAIG (9) and debutantant FLEUR DU MONDE (10). Worth keeping safe.
SELECTIONS: Crazy Russian the one to beat.

BENDIGO: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM

CELESTIAL HARBOUR (8) raced favourite placing close-up at Ballarat on debut and was immediately spelled. The well-bred filly resumes from a low gate and is sure to have come on. In a top barn and is clearly the one to beat. ARMSTRONG BAY (1) resumes and has been unlucky not to have broken through on heavy tracks. Tipping he'll be at least as good on a firm surface and he has scope for more improvement. ALWAYS A SAINT (3) resumes and showed enough in town on debut to consider. Draws the outside barrier but has early speed. INNOCENT ENUFF (9) led at Sale on debut but folded up. Was in the market and is a first-four hope despite the time away.
SELECTIONS: Celestial Harbour to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 2 @ 6:15 PM

WHO DARES (6) is resuming from a spell. Contested some quality races in the spring and chased home Australian Guineas placegetter at second race start. Looks well placed here. Should go close. ALL HELL (2) has figured in the money in only two outings. Has been kept fresh since latest run at Ararat and should be suited on the big track here. Has claims. MUISCA (9) stuck to task well at Yarra Valley last time. On home track here and should not be dismissed. VINCERE (12) showed plenty of improvement at Yarra Valley last time and is worth including in the hopes again.
SELECTIONS: Back Who Dares to win.

GOULBURN: RACE 6 @ 5:15 PM

PINKY (10) has been threatening since the comfortable first-up Maiden win. Was good on the heavy at Canterbury and improved again narrowly beaten as favourite at Muswellbrook on a good surface. Briefly freshened she can win with average luck from the sticky barrier. IKNOWASTAR (3) runs along and is seeking the hat-trick off comfortable country wins. Was heavily-bet at Orange the latest and is a chance to go on. SENZA DUBBIO (2) should be poised to run a nice race first up from a spell following four recent trials. Each way. DUCHY OF CORNWALL (6) walloped the Wagga Maidens by 4L on debut. Beasley stays with him and the extra 200m should advantage. Has a low gate and plenty of upside.
SELECTIONS: Pinky each way.
