An abundance of NAR racing on Wednesday with racing from Kochi, Nagoya, Ohi (Tokyo City Keiba) and Sonoda. We've done the form and landed on our best bets from each of the cards.

Ohi (Tokyo City Keiba) Race 4 - #2 Martien

Siding with the lightly raced Martien to get the job done for us Ohi. The three-year-old colt got off the mark in nice style here two back over 1400m and followed it up with a bold minor placing last start after settling too far back. Strips fitter again with three runs under his belt and is drawn to settle closer to the action. Hidaka Honsen looks the immediate threat but I'm expecting Martien to find his peak and prove to strong for the filly in the run home with in-form hoop Daisuke Mashima piloting.

Kochi Race 5 - #7 D's Rouge

Keen on the S Beppu-trained D's Rouge as our best bet on the Kochi card. The four-year-old filly made a positive impression when making her stable debut for Beppu off a long break, sticking on gamely into the placings, only beaten a length. The daughter of Duramente is sure to improve in her second run off an extensive spell and will have taken benefit from having now plied her trade around the Kochi 1400m. While she's drawn a fraction tricky in seven, I expect her to get on the back of her main danger Meisho Kangiku, who will have to work hard early to cross from 10 and stalk him into it before gaining the upper hand at the business end.

Nagoya Race 8 - #7 Real Glory

In what looks one of the more competitive races on the Nagoya 12-race card, I've found Real Glory as my best bet. I think we will be able to get a reasonable price about the four-year-old with two of the other obvious key players, Brave Journey and A Shin Synchro drawn gates one and two respectfully and also in great form. With solid speed engaged from the low draws, I think this could play right into Real Glory's hands as it should allow him to work across steadily from barrier seven and settle just off the pace, for hopefully a conservative run. Her narrow minor placing here last start over the distance rates highly and if he's able to hold that form or even slightly improve, he will be winning.

Sonoda Race 10 - #3 Zendan Ryu

Have to wait until toward the back end of the card but Zandan Ryu looks set to score a deserved victory. The five-year-old colt has been a model of consistency for the Yoshihiro Iida stable throughout his career but even more so of late, finding the minor placings in his last four starts. The son of Discreet Cat boasts a terrific record at this venue, notching up six of his seven career wins here. Senko First's best efforts have him a clear top pick and he is drawn favourably. Sure to be very competitive.
