I black booked  Vega One after it ran 2nd to Plague Stone on 20 April 2019. So then I watched it's two runs this time in. Then it drew barrier 2 and with M Rodd on board, all the stars were aligned.

Unfortunately the stars don't seem to line up very often.

Flemington Race 8 Horse 2 Hellova Street - currently $8.50 and $3.00. Goes well second up; great record track and journey, likes soft. The only other on-pacer

in the race is Holbien so I'm hoping he takes a sit. They won't go too hard. Backing on a 1 by 3 basis. Good punting. 

Eagle Farm 9 Brave Song. Form terrific - narrowly beaten by Stradbroke winner twice recently, well drawn, Shinn firing, into $3.30 now.

Caulfield Race 5 Horse 5 Lady Pluck

Sticking with the Brunton stable. She has improved markedly this preparation. Last year she ran third at her first start in Melbourne (in a listed race) down the straight.

Took $4.20 yesterday - I see she's in to $3.00 now. May get better.

Hellover Street better at Flemington but will go close nevertheless - will back EW 1/3.

Bendigo Race 1 Horse 2 Mandela Effect.

The stable entered him in a Benchmark 90 on this programme as well. He didn't get in so is racing in the back-up, a BM78. Should be something to back as they thought he had a big chance in the stronger race. Currently $6.00 and $2.20 or thereabouts. Drawn wide but gets back anyway - came from near last on the turn to win at Caulfield in 2018. Never runs badly - get on.

Not sure about Best Bet, but amazed I got $11 for Harlem in R2 Rosehill Saturday. Maybe I'm missing something here? Certainly not suggesting it will be easy, but surprised at the price.

Will race on the pace and will be hard to get past. Fitness levels went up last start and at peak now. About $4.00.

Randwick Race 7 Horse 4 - Flow. All 5 wins over 1400 and Bowman won't hurt.

Not far off there Todman - a good effort.

MR7 Fell Swoop - will have fitness and alley 1, plus a great jock on board - handles the valley well - $8

BR9 Shogun Sun - currently $8.50 & $2.80 but may get better later, particularly on tote. Was 3rd up last year in the Guineas and had a load of bad luck - his stats, when drawn an alley, are good - he just needs a good ride to be right in this - Avdulla will be better primed for this good ride after last start.
