Fields seem a bit bare for the money on offer ?

And talking of Dubai, it looks like Long John might have a stranglehold on the UAE Derby with that brilliant win overnight in the 2000 Guineas.

Take the hint, Greyshot?

That Australian racing is far superior to Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore. And they should scrap all those and spend far more time in isolation because the QE Stakes is a better option than being able to race at all those other meetings?

A top class 2000m horse could start in Dubai in either the WC or Duty Free for huge money, head to HK for the QE2 Cup and then on to Singapore for their international. Because of the strict quarantine rules here it is near impossible to race in Australia in the QE and go to any other meeting.

If you own a horse like Akeed Mofeed who's a stallion and you are looking to boost his international profile. Do you put all your eggs in one basket and hope nothing goes wrong, or do you spread yourself out and cover every possible option to win another big race.

No brainer really, isnt it. Relax the rules and also swap the QE with the Doncaster on the card so it opens up the Singapore option for the 2000m type horses.

Or should overseas trainers accept the quarantine rules as a hint?
And bring their horses early and give them a chance to acclimatise.

Ridiculous quarantine rules will make sure there are no internationals coming here, particularly when there's big money on offer in Dubai a few weeks earlier and its easy quarantine wise for horses to get in.

Akeed Mofeed was coming but the quarantine issues killed that idea.

Small fields and most of the horses I like are under $5. Disappointing for sure.

I cant believe the ordinary qe will be worth 4 mill

Will some big guns from os turn up?
