Murphy's Law Strikes Again - Gallic Out

I officially give up, after just getting over my frustrations at missing out with my fixed odds on MALDIVIAN in the Caulfield Cup, now this.

I had EL SEGUNDO into GALLIC for a return of over $1k (not bad for a small time $5 punter like myself)

Burned again......

ZIPPING my one and only hope now (and that is a much smaller collect!)

Sorry thats just my whinge session, I think the lesson is as soon as you think you have beaten the odds and are alive with a chance of a decent collect.....just wait for good old Murphy to strike again!

AFL Multiple Captains Farce

What is going on in the AFL?

What happened to selecting the most appropriate man for the job?

How would companies go with 5 CEO's?

I am all for a leadership group, but c'mon guys make a decision, stick to it and don't worry about guys being dissappointed that they are not captain.

My club is almost the worst offender, having a ridiculous rotating captain scheme for a few years and now selecting 3 captains this year.

Brisbane have just taken the farce to a new level selecting 5 captains.

I feel sorry for Jonathon Brown who I'm sure stated earlier he is a bit of a traditionalist and would prefer a single captain. Now he has to toe the party line and say how good the 5 captains will be.

When will coaches / administrators stop trying to invent solutions for things that are not broken.

2007 Tip Off Query??

What is the go for this weekend??? I thought someone asked earlier what was going on and I apologise for the repost but I couldn't find the original thread.

I (and possibly other contestants) will be without computer access from this afternoon until Sunday night, so in the absence of knowing which meeting / races to tip on (assuming you are sticking with Sat Melb R5,6,7) my selections are

R5 No 2 (12)
R6 No 9 (4)
R7 No 6 (3)

If those races aren't correct can I just have the #3 saddlecloth (sub #4)!

Flexis = Win for the small punter!!

Had my first introduction to flexis the weekend past with the all new Vic TAB offering.

For those small time punters like myself it gives us a chance to go wide in the multis and have a bit of fun. I am not prepared to risk $200 - $300 on a quaddie but am quite happy to have a play and take a small % of any potential dividend.

Plus just for fun wanted to see how it all worked so plucked out Danever and three random numbers in the first at Flemington and boxed them up in a trifecta for $5 (20.83% of the dividend).

Gotta love it when Danever and two of my random numbers come in and the tri pays $2.7k!!

Pessimists will see it that I just missed out on a really big collect but an optimist will say that I wouldn't have got it without the flexi option!! I'll take my smaller % anyday.

Perhaps the random numbers is the way to go as doing the form seems to get me nowhere!!
