New NSW TAB Website

The best part of 15 years I was able to top-up my account balance on the old TAB website using an approved (100 point ID checked) Visa Card. Attempting to do so on the the new website, I kept getting an authentication. A call to customer service a week ago brought no joy and I was told my problem had been escalated to IT and that the problem would either be rectified or that I would receive a call back. I got no call back and thought the problem must have been resolved.

After the same error message tonight customer service informed me that a decision had been made to wipe all crediFor t card details and have account holders resubmit applications to use a credit card cards which means calling into a branch together with 100 points of proof of ID and waiting for the application to be approved by HO.

After 30 years of betting with the TAB mainly through my account, the TAB has given me an opportune reason to give up the punt, I cancelled my NSW account and it seems, I have to inform the TAB by letter that I wish to cancel my VIC TAB account.

I am not sure how I will spend my Saturday afternoons and the time I save not having to do the form, especially during Racing Carnivals. Any suggestions? I know I am asking for it. :)

Congrats to Raw Instint for heading the Private Watch list with a total of $5.8 mil. It makes one realise just how difficult it is for our horse trainers to get a horse to the carnival races and to win a race or two. Those of us on the Sky Stable had the benefit of swapping two stable horses a week for some of the best horses in the country and still bombed out, sometimes badly.

I certainly enjoyed the comp and look forward to it in the Spring again.
