TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL October 4: Maidens to make an impression in the 900m heats included I AM JADE. There were two trials for the 2YOs over 900m with HER EXCELLENCY recording as easy win in the fillies heat in slow time (56.41; 36.20).

RANDWICK September 26: The free running maiden filly ON THE BEACH bounced off her debut failure to record another sharp trial win in the fastest 1045m heat (63.61; 35.71), leading by six and costing home almost five lengths clear. She is unbeaten in three trials and this was the form the Waterhouse/Bott stable expected from her when she had her first start. LIGHT PRESS clocked the fastest time in the six heats over 737m (43.97; 33.82) and looks a nice maiden prospect for the Ron Quinton stable. Other maidens showing nice promise included RINGDEMBELLS and TRADITION.

ROSEHILL September 20: The maiden heats will throw up plenty of winners. Godolphin pair RHETTARA and FRONTENAC went through the line together finishing 1-2 in the fastest of the four 1030m heats (63.11; 35.06) while JUMEIRAH BEACH, a recent switch from Waterhouse/Bott to Richard & Will Freedman, responded to riding with a sharp sprint to the line in the fastest of the five maiden heats over 900m (54.34; 34.72).

ROSEHILL September 6: Bjorn Baker always likes to see his horses perform in trials and he would have been pleased with the 900m heat win by promising maiden KAI TAK (55.25; 35.23).

RANDWICK August 19: Maidens to make an impression in the 742m heats included the unraced RINGDEMBELLS.
