CANTERBURY December 16

RACE 5: (5) DYNAMIC IMPACT: Has won twice when first-up and looks set for another bold showing fresh after two strong trials.

RACE 10 (14) JEWELLERY: Impressive Lonhro filly is set to step up from a classy maiden win over 1100m at this course at just her third start where she was very strong posting the best sectionals of the meeting. With James McDonald aboard she has the gun rider to help her overcome her wide barrier.

RANDWICK December 17

RACE 6 (8) GREEN SHADOWS: Rates well in this company off his last start second when nailed on the line over 1600m at Warwick Farm by the progressive Komalica, a subsequent Doomben winner and favourite for a Group race in Brisbane this weekend. He's been given 24 days to freshen for the drop back to 1400m and shrewd stable is applying blinkers. Good value as he is favourably treated with a 2kg drop in weight and maps to race close to the lead in a race lacking pace.

RACE 7 (6) SPANGLER: Lightly raced import produced a super finish from last to swamp his rivals over 1550m at Canterbury on November 5 for his second win in four Australian starts. He beat a subsequent winner and is open to more improvement on this big track with the advantage of a 2kg allowance for top apprentice.

RACE 10 (6) FRUMOS: Added to her costly reputation when a resuming sixth over 1350m at Rosehill on December 3, going to the line untested after never getting a clear crack over the last 300m. Gained a big reputation winning her first three starts and this is her chance to atone for her subsequent defeats as the extra trip will suit and she gets the services of James McDonald for the first time.

RACE 1: 3-4-2-7

RACE 2: 6-7-3-11

RACE 3: 5-12-14-9

RACE 4: 6-9-7-2

RACE 5: 12-6-1-7

RACE 6: 8-11-9-2

RACE 7: 6-9-4-16

RACE 8: 10-9-3-4

RACE 10: 6-3-9-2

DEHORNED UNICORN

RACE 2 (6) I AM RICHENUFF: Rates well in an open Highway with a 3kg claim. Worth an each way gamble.

RACE 3: (5) WITH YOUR BLESSING: Set to peak third up with J Mac a key booking. The one to beat.

RACE 4 (6) WORTHILY: Has the right form and conditions suit. Play the Maher/Eustace quinella with stablemate (9) SECRET GLAMOUR.

RACE 5 (12) SHADOW VAMPIRE: Going for three on the bounce. Up in grade but a big chance again with significant drop in weight.

RACE 8 (10) SHAQUERO: Positive signs first-up. Remember he's a Magic Millions winner but needs it firm.

RACE 9 (15) DEHORNED UNICORN: Rates highly with big weight advantage over the obvious favourite.

TRIAL POINTERS

ROSEHILL December 8: The maiden TORONOMICA posted the quickest time in the four heats over 1030m (62.32; 34.95) but the most impressive winner visually was the handy mare BANANA QUEEN (63.96; 35.00) weaving through from the back half for a strong win under a kind ride. ALPHA ONE looked ready to resume after running along in front to win his 900m heat (54.60; 34.94). Unraced youngster LAZZAGO posted good time winning his 2YO heat over 900m (54.05; 34.48).

ROSEHILL November 24: ENFOLDED won his maiden at Gosford in August and looks ready to go on with it in his coming campaign after an impressive win in the fastest 800m heat of the session (53.17; 33.45). Sat second under a good hold before doing it easily to gain the upper hand over the last 100m from subsequent winner Tsarina Sophia, leaving the third horse eight lengths behind.

GOSFORD November 21: Written Tycoon colt MOSCOW NIGHT was having his first trial since a Canterbury placing in July and he should not be a maiden for long after running away with his 800m heat by nine lengths (48.99; 34.90). Extended his lead with every stride over the last 400m under no pressure. Unraced stablemate URBAN JEWEL recorded a fast 1000m heat win (60.47; 35.38) in her first trial in 12 months. She did win her first trial 14 months ago and issues have obviously delayed her race debut but it's obvious she has plenty of natural talent after she cruised through her gears to win by more than five lengths. Other notable efforts in the 800m heats included a sharp win by the Brad Widdup-trained PARTY DOLL (48.72; 35.38).

WARWICK FARM Sept 23: The 2YO heats over 789m saw a smart win by SNAPBACK (47.65; 34.56). Looked well educated for race debut.
