TRIAL POINTERS

RANDWICK December 12: Libertini's sister DE AN ANDRETTI makes the star list once again after yet another super trial. This time she did it easily to cruise into second place in a strong open heat over 740m (43.40; 33.07), confirming that she is ready to make up for lost time when she returns to the races.

ROSEHILL December 8: Strong debut trial by Zoustar filly DIVOTS. Travelled easily in second in her maiden heat over 900m (54.57; 34.53) and was never off the leash to overhaul the leader and coast to a soft win by 1.4 lengths. Should take plenty of benefit from the experience. It's been a long wait for unraced filly PASSEGGIATA to reappear after she made an impression with two trials wins at Randwick and Rosehill in June. She again showed plenty of natural talent to control her 900m heat (54.65; 34.58) and cruise home with plenty in reserve.

WARWICK FARM November 18: Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott won a 2YO heat over 798m with well-educated newcomer JUST GLAMOUROUS (47.27; 33.40).

ROSEHILL June 20: Unraced filly PASSEGGIATA could be a winter star if she runs up to her trial form. She's now won two trials in great style with this 900m heat win a brilliant piece of work as she led at her leisure before zipping home over the last 400m in a very fast sectional (52.23; 33.98) that saw her put an 8.5 lengths margin on her rivals. It's form that says she must win races.

RANDWICK June 14 (Poly): Seems everybody has jumped aboard DE AN ANDRETTI after this superb heat win over 780m. She had only three rivals but Andrew Atkins was content to sit wide to keep her out of trouble and you don't see many better trials on the poly as she cruised under a big hold to record the easiest of wins in the fastest time of the five heats over the distance (44.86; 32.32). She was injured after just two starts last year and it will be interesting to see what heights she can rise to when she resumes.

RANDWICK June 3: I Am invincible filly DE AN ANDRETTI is primed for a successful campaign off this impressive return in her first trial since last spring. Settled easily in midfield in the quickest 742m heat (44.42; 33.65) and was kept under a tight hold throughout before working smoothly to the line for a soft third. Her only two starts have been well spaced and saw her go from a provincial maiden win to a heavily supported start in Group 2 company – speaks volumes for the opinion held of her by connections.
