ROSEHILL December 29

Inside Grass – Good 4

15 Heats – 3 x 1030m (2 Open; 1 Maiden); 12 x 900m (1 Open; 5 2YO; 1 3YO; 5 Maiden)

Several contenders for the Magic Millions meetings at the Gold Coast warmed up for their trip north with some sharp performances.

BEL AIR (Anthony & Sam Freedman): Has been placed in three of his four Melbourne and expect this Written Tycoon gelding to a be a big chance to knock over his maiden at the Magic Millions after an impressive third in a fast 900m heat (54.21; 34.33) won by another smart maiden SCREAM. Settled at the rear and loved the way he surged to the line over the last 200m with a flashing run under a cold ride from Chad Schofield.

NASDAQ DUBAI (Gerald Ryan/Sterling Alexiou): Where has this 4YO entire by Not A Single Doubt been since his only start as a 2YO in February of 2021? This was his first trial in 18 months but his natural talent was obvious as he led his 900m heat easily and was never off the bit to record a soft win by 2.32 lengths (54.43; 34.36). Would like to see him trial again to confirm this form.

RED RESISTANCE (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): Russian Revolution youngster made good improvement from his first trial when placed at Randwick to record a strong win in his 2YO heat over 900m. The time was fair (54.86; 34.64) but he did it well to travel easily three wide outside the lead and gain the upper hand with something in reserve over the last 100m.
