19 Heats; Good 4

Course Proper – 2 x 900m (Group/Listed)

Inside Grass – 3 x 1200m (1 Open; 2 Maiden); 5 x 795m (3 Open; 2 3YO); 4 x 792m (4 2YO); 5 x 789m (5 Maiden)

An early reminder that that the big names will soon be back in action with two high class heats for the Group horses boasting an impressive array of G1 winners.

HEAT 1 (900m): The top class mare FORBIDDEN LOVE made this a one horse affair as she led easily and worked strongly from start to finish to coast home by almost seven lengths with plenty in reserve (53.84; 34.17).Behind her the likes of ANAMOE, SUREFIRE, ICEBATH and FANGIRL were having an easy time of it with no intent to chase the winner. ANDERMATT finished a cruisy second but only 2.5 lengths covered the other six runners with none put under pressure.

HEAT 2 (900m): Strong work from ZAPATEO to run away from SEJARDAN over the last 100m for an easy three lengths win in the quicker of the two Group heats (53.76; 33.78). Similar to the first heat as the likes of ZOUGOTCHA, HINGED, MO'UNGA and EL BODEGON were having easy exercise but it should be noted they were nine to 13 lengths from the winner at the finish.

The 3YO heats on the inside grass also boasted deep talent including the Godolphin stars AFT CABIN and IN SECRET. AFT CABIN recorded a strong win in his 795m trial (48.33; 34.27) while IN SECRET went around under a big hold to finish fourth in the heat won in much quicker time by SO AUDACIOUS (47.15; 33.53).

Expect some talented youngsters to emerge from the 2YO heats over 792m with the heat winners MUMBAI ROSE (46.91; 33.83) and LEARNING TO FLY (45.83; 32.898) the standouts.

The maiden heats over 789m will also be reliable. Heat winners ARMAGEDDON (45.94; 33.25), RHETTARA (46.33; 33.50) and DAKOTA VROOM (46.71; 33.43) are a trio that can be followed with confidence.
