EAGLE FARM May 27
RACE 2 (8) SELEQUE (Value): Held up and never tested first-up at Scone. Expect big improvement with J Mac aboard.
RACE 4 (13) LUNCIES: Excellent second when resuming in the Scone Cup. Extra trip suits ideally.
RACE 5 (8) HAWAII FIVE OH: Has really hit his straps. Soft trial win showed he has held his form since his classy win at Hawkesbury.
RACE 8 (7) KING OF SPARTA (EW): Flew late to just miss here last time when fresh. Good trial has him fitter and drawn to get favours.
RACE 9 (6) SALATEEN (EW): Fitted for this by good efforts since resuming. This is her track.

RANDWICK May 27
Best Bets
RACE 6 (12) NAVAL COLLEGE: Lightly-raced import has been quick to find his form in two local starts over 1800m on the Kensington track for a stable getting the best out of their overseas arrivals. Beaten a nose first-up and improved off that to record a strong win carrying 60kg in a lower grade BM64 beating a subsequent easy midweek winner. He should relish this longer trip, being a winner over 2400m in the UK, and is well placed to go on with it as the switch to in-form apprentice Jett Stanley will see him carrying only 54.5kg after he takes his 3kg claim.
RACE 7 (16) KIN: Talented filly was well fancied first-up after good trials in a strong BM78 at Gosford but found the talented Vowmaster a shade too strong over 1000m where they ran fast time after chasing a hot pace. Sure to be fitter and with only 52kg after Zac Lloyd's claim she should get every chance in this even field.
RACE 10 (13) SHIPSHAPE: Can end a good day for the apprentices as he rates as the horse to beat with the advantage of Zac Lloyd's claim after carrying 3.5kg more when edged out after a tough run over 1300m at Scone on May 13 when ridden by Chad Schofield. The switch back to Lloyd is significant as he rode this progressive 3YO in his two previous starts for wins at Wyong and Hawkesbury over 1350m and 1400m.
FOR VALUE
RACE 1 (8) TANNHAUSER: Strong trial by this Dundeel youngster since he ran well in the Fernhill over 1600m. Suspect the stable have him set for the JJ Atkins.
RACE 3 (15) SUPER BRIGHT: Good track and distance credentials. Drawn to run well fresh after a nice trial.
RACE 8 (14) PIZARRO: Astute stable has prepared him patiently for a first-up tilt. Set to charge late under his light weight off a hot speed.

TRIAL POINTERS
ROSEHILL May 19: The race fit EXCELLADUS impressed with a strong win in his 1030m heat (63.56; 36.05) after sitting three deep but the eye catcher in this heat came from the former Kiwi mare PIN ME UP. Her surging finish for a close second in her first outing for her new trainer Clarry Conners augers well for her future prospects.
RANDWICK May 15: Veteran sprinter EDUARDO dispelled any questions about his well-being with a strong win, recording easily the fastest time in the nine heats over 1050m. He looked in great health as he led his heat easily and was never under pressure to record a clear cut win with plenty in reserve. The merit of his trial was on the clock as his time of 62.89 (34.86) was almost 1.5 seconds faster than the next best heat over the distance. Behind him the efforts of TASHI and KING OF SPARTA took the eye with their good work over the last 200m.
HAWKESBURY May 8: Hawkesbury Guineas winner HAWAII FIVE OH is primed for his next target. He was all class dominating his 1000m trial (59.18; 33.26) from the front, being kept under a big hold by Tim Clark for a soft win by a margin that flattered his rivals.
WARWICK FARM March 17: LADY BROOK is a six time winner and retains her zest for competition with two recent trials pointing to her racing well when she resumes. Sprinted keenly to the line from off the pace to win her 799m heat (47.03; 33.05) and while it was a narrow margin there was a lot to like about her work over the last 100m.
