Magic Millions has again compiled another star-studded National Broodmare Sale, headlined by several Group 1 winners, but how do those Black Type performances stack up from a ratings perspective?

Below is a look at the better-performed mares to be offered during Tuesday's race fillies and mares section, ranked by their peak Timeform rating.

119 – FORBIDDEN LOVE (Lot 568): The daughter of All Too Hard owns the two highest ratings by any mare in the sale, having run 119 in both the George Ryder Stakes and Canterbury Stakes. Her other Group 1 win – Surround Stakes – came in 113, but she ran to 116 when winning the Group 2 Guy Walter Stakes.

118 – SNAPDANCER (Lot 645): Ran her career peak in her final racetrack appearance, the 2021 Memsie Stakes, in which she defeating WFA star I'm Thunderstruck. The Choisir mare's other Group 1 win, which came two starts earlier in the Robert Sangster Stakes, earned a rating of 116, while she also went 111 when second in the Group 1 Tatt's Tiara.

116 – STATEMENT (Lot 650): The daughter of Lawman did not cover herself in glory in her only two Australian starts this autumn, but the start before heading Down Under she ran to 116 when obliterating her rivals by 5-1/2 lengths in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes at Tipperary. Also boasts a 108 second placing to multiple Group 1 winner Alcohol Free.

113 – COVENTINA BAY (Lot 548): Dual Group 1 winner in New Zealand, whose career peak winning number came in the second of those, last year's Bonecrusher Stakes. The daughter of Shamexpress won the Herbie Dyke Stakes in 111 the start prior, but did also run to 113 earlier in the campaign when second to Bankers Choice in the Group 3 Anniversary Stakes.

113 – SUNSHINE IN PARIS (Lot 700): Has only had five starts, the most recent of which came when winning the Group 1 Surround Stakes in 113. Runner-up in that race, Ruthless Dame, won the Sangster Stakes in 114 at her next start, while third placegetter In Secret peeled off a 120 win in the Newmarket Handicap at her next start. Trainer Annabel Neasham has nominated the daughter of Invader as likely type for the $10 million Golden Eagle this spring, meaning she has more racing upside than most who will be offered.

113 – ISOTOPE (Lot 575): Fittingly, registered her career peak in a Magic Millions race – last year's $1m Snippets, when she defeated Tycoonist and Away Game. Also boasts a 111 win, in the Listed Darby Munro Stakes, and ran the same figure when second to Wild Ruler in the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint.

113 – PROMISE OF SUCCESS (Lot 620): Imported daughter of Dansili who won five races in Australia, headlined by the $2 million The Invitation (111) and Group 2 Emancipation Stakes (109), but her peak rating came when unplaced in last year's The Gong, when she carried a big weight in open company.

113 – THIS'LL TESTYA (Lot 664): Won last year's Group 3 Colonel Reeves Stakes in 109, but the Testa Rossa seven-year-old earned her peak number when third in last year's Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes.

112 – VANGELIC (Lot 502): Peak rating came when third in the Emancipation Stakes won by Promise Of Success and although beaten, rated higher than the winner due to carrying two kilos more and being beaten just half-a-length. Highest-rating win was 108 in the Group 2 Golden Pendant, a number she repeated when beaten in the Golden Eagle and The Invitation.

110+ – MISS CONTEKI (Lot 600): Denied This'll Testya in last year's Group 3 Prince Of Wales Stakes, which was where she earned her peak rating. Ran to 108 the start prior when winning the Listed Crawford Stakes and earlier won the Listed Miss Andretti Stakes in 107+.

The above are the horses with a peak Timeform rating of at least 110, while Nerve Not Verve, Shades Of Rose and Willinga Beast are among those who have run to 109 at least once in their career, while 108-rater Wolverine will also be offered.
