Group 3-winning Capitalist gelding Sebonack topped this week's Inglis Digital March (Late) Sale, but will remain in the care of John, Wayne and Michael Hawkes after being bought by one of the existing owners.

Rupert Legh, via bloodstock agent Simon Vivian, went to $270,000 for the three-year-old, who was offered to dissolve the existing ownership group.

Sebonack's only win from nine starts came on debut in the Group 3 Chairman's Stakes, but Legh is confident there are more wins in store.

"I was bidding on the immediate direction of Rupert who is confident Sebonack has plenty more to give and wanted to retain ownership," Vivian said.

Sebonack, who is among the field for Saturday's hot $500,000 Listed Sunlight Classic at Flemington, was one of seven horses to sell for at least $100,000 in the sale.

Among the others to go for six figures were Group 1-winning mare Stormy Lucy, who was offered in-foal to Maurice, and sold to Yulong for $195,000.

Unraced Spirit Of Boom three-year-old Boom Torque sold to Ian Corazzol for $180,000 and will now head to Kacy Fogden, while Loom And Boom – another three-year-old Spirit Of Boom gelding previously trained by Billy Healey – went to the same new owners for $135,000.

The March (Late) Sale grossed $3,310,588 and Inglis is now taking entries for the Inglis Digital April (Early) Sale, which will run from March 31-April 5.
