Among the recently launched 32 Lot gavelhouse.com auction is stallion proposition San Huberto (Speightstown), who is being offered by OTI Racing.

Well travelled, San Huberto - a son of leading US-based sire Speightstown (Gone West) - has raced on three continents, earning black-type in each.

A Listed winner in the US, San Huberto won the Group 2 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier (3000m) at Chantilly in June 2020, beating subsequent Group One winners Call The Wind (Frankel) and Holdthasigreen (Hold That Tiger).

Trained in Australia by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, he won the Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m) at Flemington in January, to take his career earnings to A$613,494.

"San Huberto is a most impressive physical specimen, he stands at 16.2hh and is an imposing figure who possesses an athletic stride, covering the ground with ease," said OTI's CEO Terry Henderson.

"Retired as a result of a tendon injury, he is correct in conformation, has an excellent temperament for stallion duties and will breed strength into mares of all types."

A Grade 1 winner himself, Speightwon is the sire of 25 Group / Grade 1 winners and his fee this year is set at US$80,000, while San Huberto's dam is the multiple Group performing mare Sediciosa (Rail Link).

The catalogue also includes youngstock, racing propositions and broodmares with bidding in the set to close from 7pm (NZT) on Monday 20 February.
