Magnificent Storm and Lavra Joe are engaged in Saturday's $50,000 event and have already secured a slot in The Nullarbor.
Fremantle Cup winner Mighty Ronaldo, who looks poised to be the runner for the JP Pacing slot, will also line up in the Bunbury Cup.
Mighty Ronaldo and Magnificent Storm both drew on the back line at this morning's barrier draw in eight and nine respectively, while Lavra Joe will have to overcome barrier seven.
The Mustang, who has shown good signs to start his campaign, drew barrier one and was a key winner from the draw.
Sangue Reale, who showed encouraging signs finishing second to Diego in last week's Governor's Cup, drew barrier two and looks set to play a key role.
Aldo Cortopassi, who teams up with Magnificent Storm in the Bunbury Cup, said he was happy with the draw and how the pacer returned in the Governor's Cup.
"It's not a bad draw," he told TABradio's One Out One Back.
"He should get a good run through following Sangue Reale.
"His run on Friday was full of merit.
"He felt enormous in the run and really attacked the line."
The Gary Hall Snr-trained Jumpingjackmac and Diego are notable absentees from the Bunbury Cup, as are the Greg and Skye Bond-trained Glenledi Chief, Minstrel and Patronus Star.
Jumpingjackmac has already secured a Nullarbor slot, while Diego is also set to get a slot in the race.
Glenledi Chief, Minstrel and Patronus Star are vying for Team Bond's slot in the $1 million feature.
Spirit Of St Louis, who also has a slot in The Nullarbor, is the $3.60 favourite for the feature event on April 14, ahead of Magnificent Storm at $3.80.
