As well as the trio from the Bunbury Cup, the Free-For-All event has also attracted WA Pacing Cup runner-up Jumpingjackmac and the talented Steel The Show, in what's set to be a crucial lead up to next month's $1 million Nullarbor.

Only Lavra Joe, Magnificent Storm and Jumpingjackmac have secured slots in The Nullarbor, with Mighty Ronaldo and Steel The Show both in the mix for a slot.

Lavra Joe was able to lead throughout and win last Saturday's Bunbury Cup, while Magnificent Storm and Mighty Ronaldo both performed admirably.

Mighty Ronaldo, to be driven by Emily Suvaljko, has come up with the all-important barrier one for Friday's $30,000 event, with Steel The Show (barrier three), Jumpingjackmac (four), Lavra Joe (seven) and Magnificent Storm (eight) all set to have tricky assignment's from their draws.

Mighty Ronaldo's trainer Justin Prentice said he hoped to be able to hold up from the draw but expected Hampton Banner to come out hard.

"We will come out as hard as we can," Prentice told The Trots WA.

"I don't know if we will be able to hold out Hampton Banner.

"I'm not afraid of him having a hard run on Friday night and I don't think I'm going to get him any fitter than what he is now."

While the draw was favourable to Mighty Ronaldo, the same can't be said for Magnificent Storm, who will have to overcome the outside draw this week.

Owner Rob Tomlinson said it wasn't the original plan to start Magnificent Storm this week, but he came through the Bunbury Cup too well.

"We are really happy with him," Tomlinson told The Trots WA.

"If anything, he pulled up a bit big from the run at Bunbury and we were really happy with him.

"He's in better condition than we wanted him and he's way above himself."

Mighty Ronaldo, who returns to Gloucester Park for the first time since his third placing in the WA Pacing Cup, is the $2.45 TABtouch favourite for the event, while Magnificent Storm is on the second line of betting at $4.

Meanwhile, Prentice said El Chema could win the DTS Safe PPE Products Pace (1730m), off the back of a "career best" performance last time out.
