 Race 1: Shenyang Handicap

#10 This Is Charisma won well last start and he looks well placed to deliver again for connections. He's finally figured it all out and is capable of a few more wins in Class 5 based on that effort. Strong booking of Zac Purton. #4 Amazing News is tracking towards a first win. He's mixed his form at times but should be better for the run following his first-up effort. #3 Winning Steed can figure here. He's had the benefit of one run already this term and the rise in distance appears suitable. #6 Mister Monte is next best.

 Race 2: Chongqing Handicap

#5 Big Me steps out on debut. He's caught the eye at the trials and this contest looks straightforward enough for him to win first time out. Expect a big showing from a clearly talented horse. #1 Sparkling Dolphin can bounce back following a lacklustre first-up effort. He does his best racing down the straight, and as well, when Dylan Mo's aboard. Take an each way ticket on him. #6 Glenealy Generals loves the Sha Tin straight. This assignment is right up his ally. #2 Cheval Valiant scored well two runs back. Keep safe.

 Race 3: Chengdu Handicap

#7 One Voice was well fancied when missing narrowly on debut last season. He returns here following a strong trial on the dirt and he's the one to beat with any further improvement between seasons. #11 Son Pak Fu has mixed his form across two runs. He's not without a chance to improve and if so, keep him very, very safe. #1 Good Runner has plenty of rating points in hand. Strong booking of Zac Purton bears close watching. He's a big, big threat. #2 Beauty Tycoon's inexperience is costing him dearly. The ability, however, is there.

 Race 4: Jinan Handicap

David Hall has kicked off the season in impressive fashion and his solid run can continue here with #1 Gracylove. Luke Ferraris has a terrific record on this horse and his return to Class 4, even with the hefty weight, is incredibly ideal. #6 Royal Agility can improve second-up with that return effort already under his belt. The wide gate, however, will pose a question. #8 Over The Moon trialled well and can continue to improve following a strong first campaign in Hong Kong. #11 Perfect Peach gets in light and draws well. Ready to perform.

Race 5: Nanning Handicap

#8 Kasi Farasi caught the eye first-up, closing strongly from the tail of the field. Expect he gets another chance here and the step up in trip should give him every opportunity to score. #6 President's Choice returned in excellent order with a strong first-up win. He gets his chance to go back-to-back from a good gate. #1 Darci Joy loves the course and distance. Class 4 suits his chances, as does the in-form Lyle Hewitson getting aboard. #4 Rockpaperscissors has the talent and should figure prominently under Zac Purton.

Race 6: Shanghai Handicap (2nd Section)

#5 Midori Beauty returns. He has a stack of talent and his most recent effort for second at the end of last season was full of merit. He's since caught the eye at the trials with a solid first-past-the-post performance and it's a good push with Zac Purton up again. #4 Lucky Eight did well last term, winning both races to remain unbeaten across two outings. He can take another step forward and these two are expected to square off in the finish. #1 Power Koepp continues to improve. He should continue to do exactly that. #7 Mr Majestic is next best.

Race 7: G3 National Day Cup Handicap

#5 Master Eight is unbeaten over the course and distance. He looks wound-up to perform at his first run back and his most recent trial was nothing short of sound. He gets a handy pull in weight and appears capable of overhauling this group. #7 Harmony And Rich will most likely be the outsider of this race. Still, he should roll forward and give a good account of himself. He's worth an each way ticket. #1 Sky Field is the class horse of the field. He deserves respect, and forgiveness for his first-up run. #4 Super Wealthy is consistent. Keep safe.

Race 8: Shanghai Handicap (1st Section)

#4 Sakewin has a stack of class and draws beautifully for this contest. Expect he rolls forward to lead and from there he could take plenty of running down. #1 Oriental Smoke won well upon resumption last start. He's consistent and should get a charmed run throughout from gate two with Zac Purton engaged. #6 Reve Parisien is a solid competitor with a win in this grade last season. He's trialled well in the lead-up to his return and does appear to have plenty of rating points still in hand. #9 Pins Prince has claims. Don't discount.

 Race 9: Beijing Handicap

#1 Money Catcher did well in last season's Four-Year-Old Classic Series, finishing third in both the Hong Kong Classic Cup and BMW Hong Kong Derby. He should already be a winner but nevertheless, Zac Purton will ensure he gets every chance here. #2 Bourbonaire will be favoured if any of this rain in Hong Kong hangs around. Expect he rolls forward and gives a good account of himself. #7 All For St Paul's has consistency on his side following a solid win last start. #5 California Ten mixes his form but is worth keeping safe.

 Re 10: Tianjin Handicap

#6 Tempest Express narrowly missed first-up under Antoine Hamelin. He can improve with that run under his belt and he's currently stepping out off a very, very dangerous mark. The draw will give Hamelin an excellent chance for a first win this term. #1 Circuit Stellar gets a handy 10lb claim from apprentice Angus Chung. He's a winner in the grade above and is well suited by conditions here. #2 Maldives is consistent and just needs luck at times. Zac Purton will ensure he's thereabouts. #5 Parterre steps out first-up. Look for improvement.
