Four meetings around Japan on Thursday with racing from Urawa, Saga, Sonoda and Kasamatsu. We've done the form and picked out a best bet from each track.

Urawa Race 6- #10 Ange Rei

Keen on this lightly raced filly to break through for her first career win, having been unable to win from seven starts so far. She's been knocking on the door this preparation however, with consecutive second placings, easily the two best runs of her career. She's missed by just 0.2 and 0.1 lengths and looks ideally placed to go one better this time. This field is no harder than last start and she importantly gains the services of Taito Mori in the saddle, who is striking at an impressive 27.5% recently which should see her very hard to beat.

Saga Race 10- #8 Rhein Eminent

Tricky little race here and I think Rhein Eminent might end up a touch of value. The seven-year-old boasts a strong winning strike rate of 36% and while he hasn't won in eight starts, he was back near his best last time out when second at this track and distance. Earlier this year he strung three wins together, all at this track and distance, and his last run signalled he may be back on track. #4 S K First is likely to start favourite given he is coming off a $1.40 starting price, with #7 Derma Lucky Guy winning last time out and also in the mix. With that in mind, I think we can play Rhein Eminent each-way and he should run a good race.

Sonoda Race 1- #8 Kikuno Nana

Looks a race between two in the opener at Sonoda and I think Kikuno Nana will be the less fancied of the main chances, coming here first up from a spell. She typically comes to hand quickly having run 2nd, 2nd 1st at her past three fresh attempts, and her peak ratings stack up nicely against the likely favourite. #1 Lance Of Nymph is that horse having run a good race on resumption when third as the $2.60 favourite, which should keep her quite short in the market. That leaves an opportunity to back Kikuno Nana who is just as good a horse.

Kasamatsu Race 2- #3 Y G Champ

Keen on Y G Champ here dropping sharply in grade after running a credible race last time out against better opposition, beaten 4 lengths on that occasion. His form prior at this level was rock-solid, especially his run just two starts ago where he rated very highly over this track and distance, finishing second. If he's able to recapture that form the others in this field won't be able to match him, and even his form prior to that gives him a strong winning chance.
