Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Sandown Hillside, Morphettville, Geraldton and Darwin.

RANDWICK: RACE 6 @ 3:20 PM

Fascinating little clash. BANJU (6) is up a fair way in class but gets in with an enticing 50.5kg and likely finds the front from the inside gate. He's won his past two and has a fitness edge on most of the field who will want further. SOULCOMBE (2) is a very exciting prospect. His only run in Australia was a dominant win in the G3 Queens Cup over 2600m at Flemington. He's high up in betting for staying features this year and will be charging at them late. LOVE TAP (4) wasn't beaten far at the Gold Coast last start and maps for a good run out to a mile here. Another that has fitness on his side. BEAUFORT PARK (8) was a handy winner last start over this track and distance and stays on the minimum weight here. Can win again.
SELECTIONS: Banju to win.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

The pace looks strong and that can be seen as a tick for UNUSUAL CULTURE (12) who showed good speed on her Australian debut and has been left poorly placed in every run since. Hasn't been the best out of the gates and perhaps Kah is the key now. If she can get her out and moving she can settle within striking distance this time. Little doubt that she is good enough. BRITISH COLUMBIA (9) was good fresh and solid last time. Couldn't improve there but it might be the run that brings him to his top third up. Through the same race VICTORY BAY (7) must have a hope. Given far too much to do there and unable to get involved but he has raced well throughout the prep and will surely be better placed in the run from five today. EURO DANDY (5) and SUPARAZI (1) are others racing well that must be considered.
SELECTIONS: Unusual Culture gets a great chance to land one now.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 3 @ 1:27 PM

TARAMANSOUR (1) has failed to threaten the winners so far this prep when tackling tougher opposition in Victoria. There was plenty to like about his first-up effort when hitting the line gamely in a slowly run affair. Didn't look like he handled the tight turning Moonee Valley surface last time when up in grade. Is 2/3 third-up and will appreciate the extra 360m. Should get an economical run from the inside and prove too tough to hold out in the run home. DARLAMAX (3) chased gamely to the line last time to finish second, beating home Rebel Lee by 2L. 3/4 at this venue and gets in at the same weight. The immediate danger. REBEL LEE (5) had been racing in great order before a far from impressive performance at the latest. Winning hope if she can return to form. WOLF PRINCE (4) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Taramansour hard to beat.

GERALDTON: RACE 2 @ 2:59 PM

SECRET ATTIRE (8) is part of the powerful Adam Durrant stable and has had two career starts at Pinjarra on their Scarpside course, finishing a game fifth at her most recent start. She will find this an easier assignment and looks set to break through for her maiden win. YOU CAN TELL ME (3) missed a placing for the first time in five starts on this track but wasn't too far away after settling at the rear of the field early. His winning chances will be tempo dictated but if he is close enough turning for home then he could have the last say. Each-way. DESTRUCTOR (1) produced a much better effort when finishing runner-up here last time out. He is the likely pacemaker and if he can get away with a soft sectional in the running then he could take some running down. SPEED BUBBLE (5) is the stablemate of the top selection who needed his fresh up run over 1100 metres at Mount Barker and he is expected to improve sharply over this longer distance. Include in all multiples.
SELECTIONS: Secret Attire to win.

DARWIN: RACE 5 @ 5:10 PM

STARS THE LIMIT (2) was a beaten favourite at Murray Bridge and has been transferred to the local stable of Chris Pollard. He did himself no favours by getting worked up in the barriers before his last start and hopefully, those issues have been rectified, if they have then he should be too good for this lot. TUFFNUT (7) is having his first run in the area since arriving from Queensland where he had a win on a synthetic surface. He usually comes to hand quickly and should not be hard to place in the coming months. Include in all multiples. HENESTROSA (3) can mix his form but does his best racing from inside draws. He has come up with pole position today and is expected to bounce straight back into the money. ONE FOR ANNA (4) has been thereabouts since clearing her maiden status four starts back. She is beautifully weighted after the four kilo claim and is worth including in all multiples.
SELECTIONS: Stars The Limit to win.
