Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maidens in the opener with six of the twelve racing for the first time. (4) SOMETHING LOST trialled up very pleasingly on October 28th, getting a smooth start and then cruising around in a fast time without being asked any questions. The experienced Wildly Romantic passed him at the end but it was a very good showing, he draws very nicely and if he can bring that form to the races, he has every chance first up. Experience follows this time. (7) CHALLANHAN BULKKOT ran a solid 3rd place on debut on October 30th, when settling in midfield and running on for 3rd. She draws a slightly better gate and can benefit from that experience. (1) DAEBAK SOCKS can also benefit from his debut on October 22nd when on pace throughout and ultimately running 4th. He draws the same inside barrier and can get closer. (8) MIGHTY SSEN was slowly away on debut but still posted a fair time. He has since looked good when returning to trial and can go better today. Returning to the debut-makers, (11) UPTOWN WHIZ won his trial and is entitled to support first-up.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

More juvenile maidens but with just two first-timers. (1) YUKWAEHAN SARANG won a September trial before finishing 2nd on debut over 1000M on October 9th when settling midfield and running on. The additional furlong can suit, and she can win. (11) META BLADE looks to be the main danger. After running 2nd on debut over 1000M, she stepped up to this distance on October 16th and dead-heated for 4th. Both times she has come from off the pace, so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem and she is sure to be working home well. Along with Meta Blade, the only other one to have previously tackled the 1200M is (5) WINNER YOUNG. His form is identical to that of Meta Blade with a 2nd at 1000M followed by a 4th at this distance. He can sit midfield and run into some money again here. (4) LONDON ACE and the first timer (4) MYEOLKONG other minor money hopes.

Selections (1) Yukwaehan Sarang (11) Meta Blade (5) Winner Young (4) London Ace

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 40 Million

(11) UCHEONGRYUNG has shown significant improvement in his latest two, finishing 4th and 2nd, at 1200M at 1300M. The wide draw isn't ideal, but his style isn't to lead, and he has a good finish on him compared to his rivals here. Kim Yong-geun climbs aboard and today can be his day. (2) GOOD CABO ran 6th behind Ucheongryung's 4th on October 2nd having led for much of the way around. He draws nicely here, the same apprentice jockey keeps his weight nice and low, and he can be looking to get closer this time around. (9) BAEKDU MEOTJAENGI comes up in trip after two promising spins around 1000M. She has been on pace both times and will probably aim to get forward again. She can be in this a long way. (7) YEONHUI SARANG and (8) HWANGOO GANGJA others in the placing frame.

Selections (11) Ucheongryung (2) Good Cabo (9) Baekdu Meotjaengi (7) Yeonhui Sarang

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

Juvenile maidens open proceedings on the south coast with four of the eleven racing for the first time. There will be a warm favourite in the shape of (7) CHANGCHANG DAERO. He's raced twice so far, both at this distance and finishing 4rh and 5th when settling midfield and running on. Both times have been good, and he won't need to improve very much to win this. There isn't much obvious speed in this race so he may be taken to the front. (6) ARTHUR KING IJI was behind Changchang Daero on what was his second start on October 2nd. He drew wide that day but again, his time was perfectly adequate for the distance, and he can improve here following eight weeks off. Among the first timer starters, (3) BLUE MORE and (11) HWANGWOO MONEY both showed prominently in their trials. Neither time was that fast, but this is a nice race to debut in and bold showings first-up shouldn't be discounted. (8) B.K. NUMA another potential improver.

Selections (7) Changchang Daero (6) Arthur King Iji (3) Blue More (11) Hwangwoo Money

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1300M) Allowance / KRW 25 Million

(6) BOSS BABY has been knocking at the door for some time and comes in off a 2nd place over 1200M and a 3rd over 1700M. He has run well at this distance too with the fastest time among any of these who have tackled it, recorded when 4th from gate twelve three starts ago. He can settle midfield here and can prove too strong. (7) NAOL KING raced twice this spring, registering a 2nd place over 1300M in the second of them. He hasn't appeared since, but he looked very well when winning a trial two weeks ago and when on pace throughout and if he can bring that form to the races then he s a chance first-up here. (11) SARANG DAMOA has seven top-five finishes from twelve starts including each of her latest four. The draw shouldn't be a problem as she has a fast finish on her, and she can maintain her consistent record today. (10) DEVIL K and (2) BLUE KAISER others in the hunt.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Allowance / KRW 60 Million

Juvenile maidens with four of the ten racing for the first time. We'll take a chance on a first timer namely (4) BACKTOTHELEGEND. He went through two trials, improving significantly in the second of them when he was on pace and stopped the clock in a fast time. He is out of Soseono, a good racehorse herself in Korea, and she can go well first-up. Of the experienced ones, the most convincing is (6) ONNURI CHUKJE. Unfancied on debut following a slow trial, he ran a solid 5th of twelve over 1000M on October 28th, running on well. He should have come on for the experience and the extra furlong can be in his favour. (1) HAPPY BLUE debuted at this distance on November 6th and while he only beat one home, it wasn't a bad performance, and he can strip fitter for the run. Of the debut-makers, (10) CAPTAIN COMMANDO improved significantly in the second of two trials. (7) HANGANG SAVER another who can improve.

Selections (4) Backtothelegend (6) Onnuri Chukje (1) Happy Blue (10) Captain Commando

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Tricky handicap. He has drawn badly but we'll side with the potential of (10) GLOBAL POWER. A fast winner over 1000M at class 6 level two starts back, he then ran a decent 4th on his first try at this class and distance on October 16th. He should have derived benefit from that and while he needs to improve, he can win here. (9) LONDON SKY enters looking ready to get a second career win. He has a 3rd and a 4th from his latest two at class and distance, the latter especially in a fast time. His running style means the draw is of no concern and he has solid claims. (6) RANUT may be persevering with. A fast all the way winner on debut she led in the Listed Munhwa Ilbo Trophy only to weaken badly in the closing stages before similarly disappointing when trying different tactics on his return to standard company on November 6th. There is evidently talent there though and under a very light weight today, she can be given another chance. (4) THE FAVORITE and (8) MAGIC RUSH others in the frame.

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

It's hard to look past (1) I WILL THE STAR here. Having run 2nd on debut in September, he came back out on October 23rd and made all from gate twelve for an impressive score over 1000M. He comes up in class and in distance but comes down slightly in the weights, draws beautifully, and will be red-hot favourite to win again. (8) SEOBU BIGSTEP had a howler on debut but was much better second up when winning over 1000M on October 28th. She is up in class here and should be much better prepared for another crack at this trip. (6) STAR CLASS was a winner on debut but found things tough when favourite on his first try at this class and distance on October 28th. He should have come on for that and is worth another chance here. (4) SIMON TOP GUN and (2) BAEK GU are the other logical placing chances.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Competitive race for fillies (and one mare). (3) RAON FOREST is still a maiden but got promoted to this class following two runner-up finishes. She then ran 4th on her first try at this class and distance on October 22nd, settling back and running on. She is nicely weighted, well draw and the extra half-furlong to run into may suit. (6) LAROMANEE enters off back-to-back 3rd place finishes at this class and most recently over this distance on October 15th. She can settle on pace or handy here and should be a big danger. The third and final top contender is (1) SINUI BANJEON. Like Raon Forest she is a maiden but comes up in class here after two 2nd place finishes at class 6 level. She is up in trip too but has posted good times at shorter and is well drawn and nicely weighted to measure up. (11) HUIMANG OREUM and (4) NAMSAN KKOT among others in the frame.

Selections (3) Raon Forest (6) Laromanee (1) Sinui Banjeon (11) Huimang Oreum

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) FUSAICHI gave trainer Bart Rice his 300th Korean winner two weeks ago and could quite conceivably provide his 304th here. He was second-up that day and came from off the pace to run on well over this distance and while she is up in class, he comes slightly down in weight, draws well and Seo Seung-un remains aboard. The main danger is up in class too. That's (3) MIGHTY STORM, who also won over 1400M at his latest outing on October 30th. He raced handy that day and ran on and from a good gate and, just like Fusaichi down slightly in weight, he has solid claims to win again. (12) DOCTOR KHALIFA did not enjoy the latter part of his spin around 1800M at the end of September. He returns to the distance he won at two starts back when making all and while the draw does hi no favours, he should be much better than the last time we saw him.  (9) KWAEHAN HWANGGEUM and the up in class (6) ZET CASH among others who can enter the calculations.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(1) HANGANGUI GISANG is two from two having won both starts over 1200M by settling handy before quickly taking the initiative and running on to score. That brings him rapidly up in class and he stretches out to seven-furlongs too, but neither should be an issue. He comes down in the weights, draws better than he has to date, and is very much the one to beat. If he does get beat, (10) MABAWI is the most likely. He came up to this class last time out and was only narrowly eaten into 2nd place over this distance in a fast time, he may need a touch of luck early from the wide draw, but he will be a threat. Then there is (2) GLOBAL BOBAE. He enters having won his latest three, all at 1200M but the most recent of them at this class. He settles back and runs on so superficially the additional furlong shouldn't be a problem, but he does come up a full 4.5kg on his October 1st score. (4) TAEYANGTAGO and (8) FORT SEUONE among others in the hunt.

Busan Race 5: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(2) MILLION BANK returned from almost six months out to win over 1200M at class 4 level on October 21st, settling just behind the speed and then running on well to win comfortably in a fast time. She is up in class here, but she has run well at this distance before and under a fair weight and a good gate, she can win again. (5) GREAT GOOD enters off back-to-back 4th place finishes at 1400M, the most recent of which was in the Jeju Governor's Cup at Seoul in a race run at a blistering pace. She comes back to shallower waters today, comes down in the weights, and so long as she has recovered from those exertions, she shapes as the main danger here. (4) MAGIC WHISPER is up in class having won well at this trip on October 7th, stalking the leader throughout before running on in the final furlong. He comes down 3kg in the weights and can measure up in this company.  (3) FASHION BLADE and (12) YEONGGWANGUILEGEND are others who can go close.

(4) SINUI ADEUL has been knocking at the door lately over 1400M and comes back in trip today to a distance at which he has won at and posted fast times. He comes up slightly in weight from his last start 2nd on October 23rd, but Munro stays aboard, and he can sit behind the early speed and run on here. (1) ROYAL ROAD came back into some form with a good 2nd place over 1800M last time out That was second-up following four months out and the drip back to a sprint journey is interesting here. He comes down in the weights and draws very well. (11) MORNING HILL was a class and distance winner on October 8th when settling handy and proving too strong. He comes up a full 6kg in the weights and draws the outside but nevertheless warrants respect. (9) RAON THE JET and (7) DAEJIUI YEOIN others with placing hopes.

Busan Race 6: Class Open (2000M) Gyeongnam Governor's Cup (KOR-G3) Allowance / KRW 450 Million

Eight months after it opened, the Queens' Tour draws to a close with a largely different cast of characters than featured at Seoul in March with Raon First especially having gone on to better things. We'll side with youth here and the pair who disputed the Triple Tiara. (3) RAON THE SPURT came out second-best in that series but today could be her day. The distance should suit, the draw is ideal, and she is in form. She can gain a but of revenge on (6) GOLDEN POWER, who swept all three-legs of the Tiara. Golden Power has just lost her way a little in her latest two but again, the distance can suit her and from a good enough draw, she too can be running on strong. Moving to the older fillies and mares, (16) WISH ME was the perennial runner-up before getting her taste of glory in super style when smashing the Seoul track record in the Jeju Govenor's Cup at 1400M, beating Raon The Spurt. She ran 2nd in two earlier legs of this series and is the only one who can pass Raon First at the top of the standings. But only if she wins. The distance is a question, and the draw is less than ideal, but her class may well see her thorough. (14) CALM STRONG also received no favours from the draw but the KNN Cup winner should be kept safe. (13) FLORIDA POWER could be one to take an interest in at an each-way price.

Since returning from four months out, (2) NAMSAN HORANGI has a 4th and a 3rd at 1400M and at 1700M, both at this distance. He comes in under the same weight as last time but into a much better gate and third-up, he may be peaking here. (10) SWEET JUICE BAR has mixed his form a bit but based on his latest on October 15th when a close 2nd at class and distance when settling handy, he can be given a chance here. He carries his fair share of weight again and draws wide but should be competitive. (1) WONDERFUL CAT is yet to win in thirty-one starts and probably won't win today either, but she did run 4th behind Namsan Horangi last time out at big odds and under the same weigh could aim for the money again. (3) CHEONGSAN YEONGUNG and (7) SMART POWER among others with solid placing claims.

(9) NONSTOP GISANG was a winner over 1700M at class 5 level in September, before running 2nd, beating four of these over 1800M on his first go at this level on October 29th. He only comes up 1kg for that effort and has every chance here. It might just be his name, but it is still hard to reconcile the fact the fact that within his last four starts – after nine less than stellar outings – (3) BIG YAK has figured out how to be a racehorse. He was a close-up 3rd in that October 29th race and with the same apprentice keeping his weight low, he can't be ignored here. (7) BLUE CHARM was a winner at this class over a mile on October 29th. He comes up 2kg in the weights as a result but shouldn't be completely ruled out at an each-way price. (12) VIKING HEART and (4) BYEORAK among others in the frame in a competitive race.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1800M) Allowance / KRW 90 Million

(9) NORTHERN TIME was a beaten favourite last time out on October 30th at this class over 2000M. He has won at this distance over 1800M, and he has finished ahead of plenty of today's rivals. Today can be his day. (3) HEUNGROK DAEBU returned from four months off to run a solid 4th of ten over a mile on October 22nd, coming from off the pace. He is another who has run well at today's trip and with an apprentice just taking the edge of the weight, he can go close today. (2) RAYMOND gets a nice apprentice claim, as well a good gate here and this is the kind of race in which he can be competitive. His recent form has been positive, and he can be in the finish. (12) DORAON POPEYE was outclassed in the KRA Cup Classic last time out, but this is much more suitable and despite the wide draw, he can be considered. (5) SEOUL TANK beat Northern Time when 2nd at big odds over October 30th. The eight-year-old does that from time to time and probably won't repeat here but do keep an eye on him.
