Race 1

#1 EQUALETTA BLITZ ended last season in career best form with a dominant pair of victories when reverting back to the 1000m. Prior to those referenced wins his form was plain with just one minor placings from a total of nine starts. The addition of a hood his past three runs has played its part in keeping him relaxed and conserving energy. The weight factor of 135lbs tonight creates some doubt but an excellent trial win recently suggests he's holding previous good form.
#3 PING HAI GALAXY went appallingly first up and the steward's deemed it an unacceptable performance. A trip back to the trials over 800m has confirmed there's no ongoing issue's after he blasted down the Sha Tin straight. The inside draw is massive tick and despite his overall form being hot and cold he's a legitimate chance.
#6 SUPER AXIOM came good halfway through last season picking up two wins and in the process regained that all the way thrust he displayed as a youngster. The form then began to tapper off near the end of last season and it's worth remembering his record at this track is not inspiring.
#4 PARTY WARRIOR appeared extremely progressive at the beginning of last season and I thought he'd reach a higher level than achieved. With a current rating of 76 there's room to improve and without cheek pieces he can still be dangerous, even over the unsuited shorter trip. His lead up trial say's he'll need a run but I wouldn't be underestimating his finishing power.
#5 HEROIC MASTER is an on-pace Australian debutante that arrives undefeated from two starts in provincial class. He's enjoyed a solid preparation contesting four trials and appears to have acclimatised nicely to the humid surroundings. His most recent trial win at Happy Valley was terrific, however, it was noted that he didn't competently handle running around the home bend. The grand stand lights and city backdrop have unsettled many newbies over the years so what ever the result he can further improve.

Race 7

#1 DROPS OF GOD shall start favourite in this winnable class 3 following his luckless effort behind "STREET SCREAM". He needed his first up run at Sha Tin when finishing down the track and the barrier on that occasion played its part in the defeat. He's drawn ideally to absorb the pressure and speed early with cover, before launching his attack. With Zac Purton buttering up for the ride the law of averages say this one won't get away.
#5 ADIOS is yet to win a race in Hong Kong but he possesses a decent sized engine. The straight 1000m event he finished 5th in first up is a solid reference for a race like this at Happy Valley. He'll have to adjust to the tight turning track from the 1200m start point but it didn't faze him on debut over the 1000m.
#9 H Z TOURBILLON was afforded a four point handicap relief during the off-season and it almost immediately payed up with a dividend. The narrow defeat elevates him back in to class 3 and a similar effort here, with no weight, sees him in the finish. Morning track work since has primarily been at the Conghua training complex in China, where he's looking in good shape.
#4 XPONENTIAL is still yet to win in class 3 but he'll be given another opportunity from the good draw. This is his preferred course and distance and jockey Lyle Hewitson recently mentioned he should've got closer last start. His winless class record makes him difficult to recommend, for a win, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
#6 STOICISM is another that's struggled to win in this class but at the same time displayed the required talent. A number of his earlier efforts last season, and when he first arrived, were particularly fast on the clock. However, with just one victory from eighteen starts he's become untrustworthy, but still a blow out chance.
