Sir Michael Stoute has announced that Passenger will be supplemented for the Epsom Derby at a cost of £85,000.

Passenger appeared unlucky in the Group 2 Dante Stakes with jockey Richard Kingscote unable to secure a clear passage through before finishing in a dead-heat for third behind The Foxes.

After a workout on the Al Bahathri Polytrack at Newmarket on Saturday, Stoute announced: "We are planning to supplement him for the Derby in the morning."

The Epsom Derby has been a successful race for trainer Sir Michael Stoute, having won the Classic six times with Shergar (1981), Shahrastani (1986), Kris Kin (2003), North Light (2004), Workforce (2010) and Desert Crown (2022).

Passenger is a general 11/2 shot for the Epsom Derby.
