In the 2m1f Newton Abbot Racecourse On Facebook Mares' 'National Hunt' Novices' Hurdle (1:55), Fergal O'Brien is represented by Stratford maiden hurdle winner Carrigeen Kampala, who posted an eye-catching ten length success on seasonal reappearance.

She seems to have improved for the break and has the advantage of a previous victory over the rest of the field.

It looks like a small but competitive field for the 3m2f Class 3 Talk Tidy Marketing Handicap Chase (2:30).

Ballinsker likes to dictate from the front and produced a start-to-finish victory at Chepstow in a similar Class 3 Handicap last start. If allowed things his own way, he could overturn current favourite Trevada.

The Oliver Sherwood-trained seven-year-old steps up in class after a good second in a Plumpton handicap chase and remains unexposed over fences.

Basford deserves to break through for a long-awaited maiden victory in the 2m5½f William Hill Maiden Hurdle (3:00) after placing second on four consecutive occasions.

He was denied less than a length at Aintree on his last run and has probably been found the ideal opportunity.

Two-time point-to-point winner Great Schema will be looking to get his Rules career back on track after pulling up at Taunton in December. The five-year-old appears to have enough ability to make a mark at this grade.

In the Class 5 2m5f Racing Partnership Novices' Handicap Chase (3:30), trainer Fergal O'Brien has another excellent opportunity to record a victory.

Chief Black Robe has the advantage of a useful 7lb claim from amateur Mr Tom Broughton and was a twenty-seven length winner of a Class 5 Market Rasen novice handicap chase last week.

He faces Paul Nicholls' Imprevu Du Large, who finished a good third at Ludlow over hurdles and could improve for the switch to fences.

Last start winner Sherborne has a good opportunity to go back-to-back in the Class 4 2m5½f Download The At The Races App Handicap Hurdle (4:00) with Freddie Gingell aboard for Joe Tizzard. He was a seven-length victor at Ffos Las in early May and has shown some measure of ability.

Evan Williams fields Loved Out who should improve for his recent Ffos Las second on seasonal reappearance.

In the Class 5 2m5f Totnes And Bridgetown Chase Company Open Hunters' Chase (4:30), Kempton Park winner Espoir De Teillee looks a likely winner whilst Charlie My Boy can build on a Fontwell Park second to score in the Class 5 2m2½f newtonabbotracing.com Novices' Handicap Hurdle (5:03).
