Our first selection of the day comes from the Sussex venue as Highland Frolic looks to get off the mark over hurdles in the Southdown And Eridge Trail Hunting Maiden Hurdle at 2.30 pm. The four-year-old has plenty of experience in the hurdling department as he makes his eighth start over hurdles following a good second over course and distance earlier this month. The booking of Harry Cobden is particularly eye-catching with the Paul Nicholls-based rider operating at a 38% (6-16) strike rate when riding for Milton Harris.
Selection: Highland Frolic – General 5/2
Later on, the card plays host to a Class 4 Handicap Chase run over 3m 1 ½f and favourite Tip Top Mountain is likely to take some stopping. The eight-year-old recorded his fifth win over fences when scoring snugly in this class over 3m at Uttoxeter a 4lb rise looks lenient. The Robert Walford team are an impressive 3-5 (60%) with their runners over the last fourteen days and there should be more to come from this horse with an unexposed profile as a staying chaser.
Selection: Tip Top Mountain – General EVS
The third and final selection for Sunday comes from Stratford, who host an eight-race card. It's the Ryan Potter-trained Post No Bills who catches the eye in the 2.45 pm and he's selected to score for the first time over fences today. He's filled the runner-up spot on three of his four chase starts and was arguably unlucky not to finish closer at Sedgefield in September given the saddle slipped and he made two bad mistakes in the closing stages. The form of his second at Cartmel in July has worked out nicely for the grade and he should have more to offer over the larger obstacles following a break.
Selection: Tip Top Mountain – Post No Bills – General 7/2
