An Irish Weekend

Good racing at the Curragh both on Saturday and Sunday

The Beresford Stakes has seen past winners go on to great things and something similar could be in store for this year's winner, Crypto Force who stormed home to win by 2 ¼ lengths from the handy Adelaide River.  Crypto Force who is by Time Test out of a Galileo mare, went off at 15/2 for Mike O'Callaghan and Colin Keane.  Third home was a roughie in Young Ireland who had started at 25/1.

Sunday saw the running of the Irish Cesarewitch with the top two in the market running away with it – Waterville the winner got a great ride from Wayne Lordon and looks more a group horse than a handicapper as does the second Echoes in Rain but will Mullins keep him on the flat or put him over the jumps?  Lots of Joy was third and Ruling fourth, for the record.
