And Sunday's "undercard" at Longchamp.

As if it wasn't wet enough already the rain came tumbling down especially before the Arc.

First of a double for Andre Fabre and Mickael Barzalona when Belbeck won the Lagadere at 18/1.  Gamestop was second 12/1 and Breizh Sky third.  It was an indication of what was to come.

The going was no problem for Christopher Head's Blue Rose Cen who ploughed through it to win the Boussac by 5 lengths from Jim Bolger's Gan Teorainn 50/1 who got a short neck in front of Never Ending Story.

The Prix de l'Opéra had Nashwa winning until the last half metre when Fabre and Barzalona's second win came dashing down in the form of Place de Carrousel 41/1, who was a half head in front of Above The Curve.  Hollie Doyle on Nashwa was left in front early on which meant she could be prey to the swoopers and that proved to be the case.

However Doyle was able to get her win with The Platinum Queen in the Abbaye defeating White Lavender 30/1 who had been with her all they way and Coeur de Pierre third, again proving that the low to middle numbers in the draw generally get the result.

Frankie Dettori finally managed to get in a flying dismount after favourite Kinross won the Foret by two lengths from Malavath with the Japanese finally getting something to smile about when Yahagi-senseis Entscheiden 35/1 took the third money.
