Our friend Colonel Liam ran out of gas around the last turn and finished 5th but it was his first race since Dubai in March and Pletcher says he will continue to train him for the Pegasus "unless the horse tells me otherwise."

At Santa Anita they had to move the Joe Hernandez forward as the rain was coming but they got the race run and Air Force Red scored a second consecutive win in the race named after the popular race caller of former days.  He started at 7/1 and was chased home by Lone Way 6/1 with Gregorian Chant third.
