This was Cruz's 1000th winner at the Sha Tin track – only John Moore and John Size ahead of him.  With Zac Purton always in a good position Circuit Stellar didn't have too many problems in getting the win over Winning Method and the fast-finishing California Ten who were in a photo for the minor placing.

Toronado Phantom finished fourth after being blocked for a run and a bit late in getting out into the clear.
