Friday saw big upsets in the Blue Point Strip over 1000m when Rashid Boursely's Miqyaas at 66/1 took the honours – Boursely both owns and trains the horse and Oscar Chavez was in the irons.  They beat Ladies' Church 25/1 by a short head with Logo Hunter another short head away in third in a thrilling finish.

Not quite the same level of excitement in the G3 2000 Guineas when Tall Boy trained bu Doug O'Neill and ridden by William Buick got home by a length in front of Shirl's Bee with Mr Raj 15/2 1¼ lengths back in third and Legend of Cannes 25/1 fourth.

On Sunday Michael Costa saddled the first two home when Torree 7/1 won the 1200m and shortly after Alhzeem won the 1900m by 9 lengths.  Jean van Overmeir in the saddle both times.
