Meydan Friday 17th

There are 3 competitive G3 races at Meydan on Friday.

The G3 UAE Oaks is over 1900m and the bin Gadhayer filly Mimi Kakushi will look to add this to her win in the 1000 Guineas.  As usual Mikael Barzalona has the ride and they are on 11/8 in the UK markets.

Doug O'Neill's got a filly running in this too – Ami Please – with Antonio Fresu booked for the ride and they get 13/8.  Doug Watson's pair of Asawar and Awesef are hard to split and are both on 9/1.

That race is on dirt and we move to the turf for the Nad Al Sheba Trophy over 2800m which is the prep for the Dubai Gold Cup.  Charlie Appleby saddles two – Siskany who will be ridden by Will Buick and Kemari for James Doyle – 11/8 and 5/1 at present.  The sandwich meat here is Ardakan, trained by Marco Bottii with Ben Coen riding on 4/1.  One who ran well in this race last year and in the Gold Cup is Away He Goes trained by Ismael Mohammed with Barzalona riding and 11/2 a very reasonable price.

The Dubai Millenium is over 2000m and here we see the talented Nation's Pride odds-on for Appleby-Buick, with stablemate Ottoman Fleet not the worst of the opposition on 7/4.  We have a roughie here – Withering – for Faazi Naas and Ado de Vries and a tempting 22/1.
