On the dirt at Fuchu on Sunday we saw the running of the first G1 of the year.

Probably it should be called a Grade 1 however it's the first top category race of the year and this time the favourite Lemon Pop added to his illustrious CV with another win.  Red Le Zele may have earned his trip to Dubai as he put in a very fast finish to take second and the run of the race was probably Meisho Hario who almost lost the jockey at the start and lost a few length in the process to gradually pull his way into the race and put in a top finish to take third with Dry Stout fourth.

Canadian runner Shirl's Speight didn't see to handle the track all that well and then could not get into the clear, which was no fault of the jockey Moreira who was being very patient.
