Hong Kong at home and abroad

Hong Kong horses, jockey, and names were busy abroad.

Meantime Sunday at Sha Tin there's a modest program with one Class 1 and two Class 2s.

The Class 1 is the Devon Handicap Race 3 over 1200m with 8 runners.  We like Rewarding Together Lor-Chadwick  on 4.4, Blaze Warrior for Size-de Sousa on 9.4 and Duke Wai for Ng and Apprentice Chau, who has an interesting book.  The market has others shorter but these looked more like value.

Race 7 is over 1650m on the AWT and has Handsome Twelve on top on 3.5.  Beluga did the right thing by us last outing so we will stay with him and Super Win Dragon (So-Ho) on 14.0. Savaquin could also show up here for Size-Hamelin on 13.0.

Race 8 is back on turf over 1800m and again a very open race:  we like Running Glory here (Size-Bowman) with Buttterfield 8.1 and Champion Dragon  4.3.

Meanwhile Zac Purton made a visit home to Sydney and collected both G1 races, Russian Emperor ran a reasonable 5th in the G1 Jebel Hatta but Senor Toba was unimpressive in the Dubai city of Gold, and at Santa Anita Hong Kong Harry was the unplaced favourite in the Frank E Kilroe Mile Gr.1
