Hanshin Daishoten Sunday

And at Nakayama the 3yos go round in the Spring Stakes.

Both races are G2 and both are expected to be run in weather that is really spring like with temperatures around the 16-17 degree mark.

At Hanshin Bolding Hos heads the field in the Daishoten on 2.1.  He's been progressing steadily and this should suit with a trip over 2000m.  Justin Palace is Lemaire's ride and he's on 3.0 and Deep Bond is on 4.8.  Those three have taken most of the early interest as the next best is Iron Barrows on 23.4.

At Nakayama it's the Fuji TV Sho Spring Stakes over 1800m.  Bellagio Opera heads the call on 3.8 and he's by the popular Lord Kanaloa.  Seven Magician by Just A Way is on 4.1, Ho O Biscuits is of course by Mind Your Biscuits and is on 6.5, with All Parfait the fourth horse at single-figure odds on 9.2.  He's by Real Steel.  This is an all-male affair – no fillies.

They went round on Saturday in the G3 Flower Cup which was won by Emu, a Harbinger filly starting on 6.4.  Second home was Hip Hip Soul 11.1 by Kitasan Black and third Pulchritude, a Gun Runner filly on 6.9.

There's results through from the recent Sales where at Northern Farm the two foal auctions brought in 16.2 billion yen and all indices were up.  The highest price went to a Duramente colt at 352 million yen.  In the yearling sales top price was for a Maurice colt out of the Aussie dam Mosheen.
