Kayla Crowther had a day out riding two winners in combination with the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable aboard Kalasec and Solar Blast, with the victory by gritty stayer Smiling Assassin wedged in the middle.

The treble took Crowther to 83 wins across South Australia in season 2022-23, 27 of those wins coming at city level where she sits fifth on the SA Metro Jockey Premiership and just three wins off second placed Jason Holder who trails clubhouse leader Jake Toeroek by eight.

Toeroek scored aboard Klabel, the middle leg of a treble for the state's premier training combination who have produced 58 wins across SA for the season, 38 of those coming at city level.

The Jollys lead Michael Hickmott by 13 wins in the metropolitan premiership having struck at 20 per cent runners to winners in the month of May.

Hickmott was in the winners' stall on his home track with Fancify who scored a strong win on debut, an emotional win for SA's leading apprentice Ben Price following the passing of his mother Belinda the previous weekend.

"It's been a pretty tough time for the family during the week,'' Price said.

"I've got to thank a lot of my close mates who have been with me the whole way and made it a lot easier,'' he said.

Todd Pannell grabbed himself a riding double when The Gov broke through at metropolitan level before the Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea-trained Second To Nun produced a brilliant finishing burst to race away from rivals.

Crowther was back winning at Mount Gambier on Sunday when she scored aboard Venusian for Ron Daniel and Trish Stanbury, Ricky Bruhn's Goliotus winning the Millicent Cup while Sairyn Fawke took riding honours with a double.

And Garret Lynch's Jamcra claimed Saturday's Hawker Cup with Rochelle Milnes in the saddle, the Murray Bridge horseman producing the first two horses home with Obelos running second.
