Lady Jeune claims top prize at Royal Adelaide Show

Former Murray Bridge galloper Lady Jeune has proven a winner off the racetrack.

A 25-start maiden during her racing career, Lady Jeune - now called Coronation, claimed the top prize last week's 2022 Royal Adelaide Show.

Ridden and prepared by Ali Berwick, Coronation claimed the Supreme Champion Best in Show Award.

Coronation was trained by Damien Batters and was placed three times before joining Matt Seyers in South Australia.

The Thorough Care SA Prize for Champion Racehorse to Showhorse Show Hunter was won by Shaundale Park Egyptian Prince for Riley Shannon-Winzer while Royal Blu won the Thorough Care SA Prize for Champion Racehorse to Showhorse Show Hunter.

"The partnership between the Royal Adelaide Show and Thorough Care SA is going really well,'' Peter Elkin from the Show Committee said.

"We're really invested in growing the ability to identify ex racehorses in the show area and the results from this year speak for themselves with an ex-racehorse being crowned Supreme Champion in Show.

"It was great to see.'' he said.
