2022 SHANNON STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Ellsberg and Surf Dancer. OLD FLAME (11) was a good winner first up and the form has already worked out with three subsequent placegetters. That confirms the level of his first up performance and he can improve further out to 1500m. Progressive and should take some beating.
WAR ETERNAL (13) sets up well on the quick back up and third up last preparation he ran fourth in the Randwick Guineas. Clear danger. ELLSBERG (2) gets his chance to lead and expecting sharp improvement, while SURF DANCER (10) also has to be included in his return. Gets in well at the weights and should be prominent from the outset.
