"Friday will be a great day at the track celebrating the township of Batemans Bay – what a way to kick off the long weekend!" enthused MJC's executive officer, Ken Brown.
"Batemans Bay is the heart of Australia's Oyster Coast where people can come and taste succulent Clyde River oysters from the farm gates.
"Our Country Showcase meeting carries a massive $255,000 in prizemoney and will feature the Batemans Bay Cup over 1650m.
"On-course there will be plenty for all, including the popular Cut and Run handcrafted gourmet pizza food truck, a bar and kiosk, as well as bookies and a TAB.
"Our sponsors include First National Real Estate Batemans Bay, Sansom's Furniture, Harcourts Batemans Bay, Cameron's Hardware and Batemans Bay Soldiers Club."

Also on Friday will be Lockhart picnic races and a unique train journey is available from Wagga and Junee to Lockhart Racecourse.
The train is one of Lachlan Valley Railway's new railcar set and adult fares include a Lockhart picnic races stubby holder and racebook.
The trip is BYO and transport is available for eskies between the train and the racecourse.
The annual Calcutta will be staged on Thursday night from 8pm at Lockhart Ex-servicemen's Club and buses will run to and from the Club.
Lockhart picnic races is a BYO raceday although a trackside bar is also available during the day.
Lockhart Picnic Race Club was formed in 1993 and since then Lockhart has seen crowds of over 5000 patrons at the annual Friday meeting.
Meanwhile, Cootamundra is scheduled to race next Sunday, albeit on a very heavy surface.
"Our course is quite wet this year and our fingers are crossed that we are able to race – our little town looks really forward to the day," said Anna Mullins, Cootamundra Turf Club's president.
"The meeting was abandoned last year due to the rain but hopefully we'll race and be able to stage our popular Fashions on the Field competition."
Feature event on the eight-race TAB program is the $32,000 Cootamundra Cup (1600m).
Mungery was due to race next Sunday with a six-race picnic meeting, but it has since been abandoned.
